An Interview with this delightful teen-ager:

1.) Favorite Bible Verse:  Psalm 100

100 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before Him with joyful singing.
Know that the Lord [b]Himself is God;
It is He who has made us, and [c]not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with [d]thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His lovingkindness is everlasting
And His faithfulness to all generations.

May Birthday Catch-Up- Seven and Eleven

It was a chicken nugget weekend! 🙂 There was a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and a chocolate cake with vanilla icing. There was Special Sauce and Soda, Soft Pretzels, and French Fries. In retrospect, my girl says- I think it was a junk food dinner. I know Daddy said it was going to be chicken nuggets and then chicken nuggets again. I don’t actually remember…but I know they were happy and it was a grand party indeed. 🙂

The Things They Say

This morning, I was washing down a little blond girl at breakfast and getting her ready to exit her seat… when suddenly,

she turned a pixie face upward toward me, pointy little chin, twinkling blue eyes, big grin and she said…

“You’re the very best Mommy I ever did see!”

I stopped stock still. I couldn’t believe my ears. Then I laughed out loud for joy.

The Things The Say

Today, we had to deal with a little ant situation and we reminded the little girls of how Daddy had handled some of it in the past…

The thought of Daddy’s ant killing skills impressed deeply upon my little A, (she who makes me laugh so hard sometimes)

and so she said loud and strong:

“Daddy’s a good, big, boy! He’s a big boy!”

Emphasis on big and boy! 🙂 She might even have thrown in a little gruff- “yeah!” for effect as well.

To which she might have added as she’s prone to do:

“He’s my friend.” Grin.
